Enrolment & Availability
New students may join only at the start of each session.
Fall 2025 Session (Sep 2 – Dec 20): Full
Winter 2026 Session (Jan 5 – Mar 14): Accepting New Students
Tuition is paid in full at enrollment and is based on the session’s length.
For example: A 30-minute individual lesson once per week for the Winter 2026 session is $35 × 10 weeks = $350.
Space is limited and fills quickly, so early registration is recommended.
Individual Lessons
$35 per 30-min class
$50 per 45-min class
$65 per 60-min class
Jenny’s Piano Academy offers individual piano lessons tailored to all skill levels, from beginners to advanced students. Lessons can be conveniently held at the student’s home or at our studio located in Barrhaven. To ensure steady progress and skill development, regular practice is strongly encouraged. Jenny will provide personalized guidance to help each student achieve their musical goals.
Small Group Lessons
Maximum 5 students per group
$30 per 45-min class
$40 per 60-min class
At Jenny’s Piano Academy, group lessons are carefully designed to include up to five students, allowing the instructor to provide personal attention and maintain high-quality teaching standards. These classes are ideal for students who thrive in a collaborative learning environment, combining peer support with individualized focus to address each student’s unique needs. Please note that group lessons are not offered for advanced students at this time.
University Prep Lessons
Pre-music major: $100 per 60-min class
Jenny’s Piano Academy offers specialized university prep lessons tailored for students applying to music majors. Our experienced instructors provide comprehensive training in performance and audition techniques to help students meet rigorous university entrance requirements. With a focus on individualized coaching and professional guidance, we ensure each student is fully prepared to showcase their talents and excel in their university applications.
Cancellation & Makeup Lesson Policy
We understand that life happens — kids get sick, schedules get busy, and occasionally I may need to cancel unexpectedly.
To keep lessons fair and manageable for everyone, please note the following:
1. Planned Absences
If you already know of a date you’ll be unavailable, please let me know before making payment for the season. This allows us to arrange a makeup lesson outside of your regular class time.
Example: If you are registering for Friday lessons but will be away on Friday, Feb. 13 for the Family Day long weekend, we may be able to schedule a makeup on the Thursday before your trip.
2. Last-Minute Cancellations
Each student is offered one (1) makeup lesson per season for last-minute cancellations.
3. Additional Makeups
Additional makeups are not guaranteed due to scheduling limits.
For individual lesson students: if no individual time slots are available, you may be placed in a group lesson for your makeup.
4. Missed Lessons
Refunds are not available for missed lessons.
5. Teacher Cancellations
If I cancel a lesson, a makeup will always be provided.
